3 Books On My Shelf for 2024

How is it nearly 2024 when I still feel like I’m stuck in 2020?

Anyway, I am starting to look over my Goodreads TBR for 2024 and boy, is she filling up fast. There are a lot of good new series starting, but also a lot of continuing series.

Here are the three books I’m most looking forward to in 2024.

House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas (Crescent City Book 3)

I’m guessing this one comes as no surprise. I won’t lie, I have so far preferred her Throne of Glass and ACOTAR series over this one, but that’s not to say this one is bad. Far from it. However, the last book just had SO MUCH packed into it and ended on such a crazy note that I have no idea where this one will go.

Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao (Iron Widow Book 2)

I randomly picked up Iron Widow this fall because I’d heard it was good and man, was it. Think if the movie “Pacific Rim” was mixed with Eastern influence and culture. It had everything I wanted and more, and I can’t wait for the follow-up.

Bride by Ali Hazelwood

Hazelwood really burst onto the book scene in the past few years with her “nerdy romances” starring STEM women and their love interests. I read all 3 of those books and they were pretty good. What makes this new book super interesting is that it’s a monster romance; I’m really curious to see if her writing stays strong when it comes to mixing in fantasy.
